1. Overview

These Terms of Service govern your use of giftbookstory.com and the personalised book creation service provided by GiftBookStory. By using our service, you agree to these terms.

2. Service Description

GiftBookStory provides an AI-powered personalised book creation service. Users provide information about a person, and our AI generates a unique story. Books can be purchased as digital PDFs or printed copies.

3. User Responsibilities

• You must provide accurate information for book creation and delivery
• You must not use the service to create content that is defamatory, obscene, or harmful
• You are responsible for ensuring you have consent to create a book about another person
• Uploaded photos must be your own or used with permission

4. Orders & Payment

Prices are shown and charged in either British Pounds (GBP) or US Dollars (USD), depending on your selected storefront currency. The currency you check out in is the currency your card is billed in — there is no FX conversion at our end. GiftBookStory is not VAT-registered; UK prices do not include VAT, and we do not collect VAT on UK or international orders. US customers are responsible for any state or local sales tax that may apply at the time of import; we do not currently collect US sales tax. Payment is processed securely by Stripe. Orders are confirmed via email upon successful payment.

5. Delivery

Digital PDFs are delivered by email after the book is created, typically within about 30 minutes of purchase. For new print orders, printer submission is normally held for 24 hours after the PDF becomes ready so the customer can review it. Releasing printing early ends that voluntary review window. Printed books are typically delivered within 7–14 business days after printing. Shipping is included on print orders to the countries available at checkout. US and Canadian orders ship from our US fulfilment partner; international orders to other destinations ship from our UK fulfilment partner.

6. Refunds

If there is a print quality issue, contact us within 14 days for a reprint or refund. If the first generated story materially misses or contradicts personal details you supplied, contact hello@giftbookstory.com within 14 days of digital delivery and we will regenerate the story once at no extra charge. This rewrite promise covers the digital story and replacement PDF; it does not include a second printed copy unless the original printed product was defective.

While an eligible printed copy is in its 24-hour review window, the account holder may cancel only the physical print from the dashboard. We will refund 50% of the amount actually paid for that order to the original payment method. The personalised digital book and PDF remain available to keep, read, and download. This voluntary print-cancellation option ends when the customer chooses “Print now”, when the review deadline passes, or when printer submission has begun.

Due to the personalised nature of our products, we cannot otherwise offer refunds for content preferences, and digital PDF purchases are non-refundable once generation has begun. Nothing in these terms limits rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

7. Intellectual Property

The generated story and cover art are created for your personal use. You may share and gift the book freely. Commercial reproduction or resale is not permitted without written consent.
